ModelSwitch
A model switch can be used within a compound model to determine the model that should be used to calculate the simulation values. In other words, it can be used to switch between two or more models within one simulation.
You can create a model following the general steps below:
1. | In the Library window, select the Model Switch. |
2. | Drag the Model Switch from the Library Window and drop it into the Application window. |
3. | In the Application window, select Model Switch, click right and choose Edit. |
4. | Drag a model from the Application window and drop it into the left box of the model switch editor. |
5. | Repeat the previous step to add more models to the model switch editor. To switch between the models you just added, you should add a value field or other dynamic input element to your interface. The models are identified by integers. The first model you added gets number 1, the second number 2, etc. In case of two models, also a Boolean-variable can be used. |
8. | Add the model switch element to a compound model by dragging it from the Application window in an open compound model editor. See also: Modifying a Compound Model. |
