Image from Math

NOTE: Math syntax needs to be added.

Using an Image from Math element you can quickly create mathematical equations on your canvas. Once you have dragged an Image from Math element onto you canvas, select the Image from Math element, then right click it and choose Properties from the menu to open the editor.

Tab sheet: Basics

1.In the Image name box, optionally type a name for the Image from Math element.
2.Lookup key?
3.In the Math text box, type the equations you want to display.
4.Click Apply.

Tab sheet: Position

1.Click the Position tab sheet.

- X and Y refer to the left and top side of the element.
- arrow-X and arrow-Y refer to the center of the element.
- Relative Position refers to the position on the window, where the maximum left (X) and top (Y) side of the window refer to 0, and the maximum right (X) and bottom        (Y) side of the window refer to 1.
- Offset refers to the amount of pixels from the top left corner of the window.
2.Determine the relative position of the left (X) and top (Y) side of the element by typing values between 0 and 1 in the appropriate Relative Position boxes.
3.Determine the relative position of the center of the element by typing values between 0 and 1 in the appropriate arrow-X and arrow-Y Relative Position boxes.
4.Determine the size of the element by typing the amount of pixels in the appropriate Offset boxes. Default is the actual image size.
5.Click Apply.

NOTE: You cannot resize this element in SimQuest: it has a fixed size. You can move the element on the Canvas by either dragging or by using the Position tab sheet to specify the position. To quickly arrange multiple images in a symmetrical way on your Canvas, consider using the Canvas Tool.

Math operators

Operators to use can be found at: http://www.forkosh.dreamhost.com/source_mimetex.html#examples

NOTE: In the next update of SimQuest help we will give an overview of the most used operators.

Using an already specified Image from Math

If you have already created an Image from Math you can simply select this image from match from your hard drive.

Once you have dragged the element into you canvas, you have to select the file you want to use. First select the image element, then right click it and choose Edit from the menu. Select a file and click Ok.
